Future Perspectives
1.We encourage students to obtain licenses, and expect students to have three kinds of licenses before they graduate, namely, licenses for accounting, computer skills, and languages (e.g., licenses of Level B Technician for Accounting, Book Keeper of General Examination, TQC-OA- Computer Accounting, Certified Information Systems Auditor, ERP Financial Module, GEPT, and TOEIC). These licenses are proofs of the professional skills and competencies students possess and can elevate the competitiveness of the students in the job market.
2.We expect students to exhibit their professional competence and qualities learned at our department: willingness to do, willingness to learn, and willingness to be responsible. By contributing their professional skills obtained from the solid trainings in the Accounting Information Department, our students are certainly viewed by employers in Taiwan as the most outstanding accounting information talents.
Careers for Students
1.Potential jobs for students:
- Work in government (financial) institutions: students can work at positions related to accounting, taxation, audit, and financial affairs at government institutions after passing the High Civil Service Examination, General Civil Service Examination, and Special Civil Service Examination.
- Work at accounting firms: students can work at audit sectors in accounting firms or become accounting practitioners after passing national examinations for accountants.
- Work at firms related to bookkeeping: students can manage affairs related to bookkeeping and tax, or manage affairs related to internal control and internal auditing at companies.
- Work at private companies or institutions: students can work at positions related to accounting, financial management, and auditing at financial or accounting sectors; in addition, because students possess professional competence in finance and accounting, students can work at financial or stock firms to manage affairs related to financial analysis, financial management, and stock investing.
2.Primary methods for further studies:
Students can apply to business-related graduate programs in Taiwan or abroad, such as graduate institute of accounting, graduate institute of finance, graduate institute of management, graduate institute of financial and economic law, or graduate institute of information management.
