真理大學會計資訊學系

為提升本校學生英語能力，104學年度第一學期增開「英語閱讀精進-網(選課代號：1884)」(Online English Reading Improvement)全英語課程，由外籍老師以全英語方式指導(非英美系)學生線上學習，請各系鼓勵學生踴躍選讀此「(廣)泛閱讀 Extensive Reading」課程，以提升英文閱讀能力。

本課程特色如下:

1.      全英語網路課程。

2.      依個人程度分級─共分10級。

3.      每週僅需約2~3小時即可完成進度。

4.      無期中考；期末考僅於第 17週有一紙筆測驗(quiz)。

5.      (外籍)老師每週至少兩小時在教室、辦公室提供(面對面)諮詢及指導，線上諮詢則無時間限制。

6.      按進度進行(閱讀)可(輕易)得到滿分(100分)及校定共同選修 2學分之採計 。

7.      每週排定課程時間為週二、週三第五節12:30~13:20，教室243(人文學院4樓)，學生可依需求於排定教室做Silent Reading。

以下是授課老師─藍伯捷(英美系助理教授)對此課程背景簡略之說明:

MReader is an online quiz bank. It was created a few years ago at Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan. Tom Robb--the chair of the English Department there--created MReader with a few colleagues. Currently, there are around 5,000 quizzes available online.

I [Dr. Robert Lantin] have an online Student Guide that explains several features of the site. Essentially, students visit the MReader website to take a quiz on the book they just finished. Quizzes are written by teachers. (I myself [Dr. Robert Lantin] have written quizzes for Cambridge University Press.) There are rules students have to follow when taking quizzes. The entire quiz-taking system is monitored by each class's teacher/instructor.

9.      Book_Guide(選讀本課程學生必讀/知)及授課大綱(附檔)請參閱。

10.  推薦名單將於開學後第一週送到教與學發展中心。
